Whiskey Sour

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen!

EN Lately I've noticed that I'm more and more into 60's styling, especially hair and makeup. I've always been a huge fan of the 40's (and still am), but since I cut my bangs I started feeling a little Brigitte Bardot and Bibi Andersson, but with pornstar makeup. ;-) Matching my new attitude, my first intention for this sunny Sunday was to go with a mini-dress and ballerinas, but I felt it would look too girly and too much like a costume. So I created my own fashion cocktail for any time of the day inspired by a cocktail classic popular in the 60's, the Whiskey Sour. What you need: Some good old Bourbon (= a classic white shirt), lemon juice (= yellow pants), a dash of syrup (= a sweet, cute purse) and some ice cubes (= cool sunglasses). Mix and enjoy! DE In letzter Zeit habe ich festgestellt, dass ich mich immer mehr für das Styling der 60er begeistere, besonders was Haare und Makeup angeht. Ich war eigentlich immer ein großer Fan der 40er (und bin es immer noch), aber seit ich mir diesen Pony geschnitten habe, fühle ich mich ein bisschen Brigitte Bardot und Bibi Andersson, aber mit Pornodarsteller Makeup. ;-) Passend dazu wollte ich an diesem sonnigen Sonntag eigentlich ein Minikleid und Ballerinas anziehen, aber das erschien mir dann doch zu girly und zu verkleidet. Also habe ich meinen eigenen Fashion Cocktail für jede Tageszeit kreiert, inspiriert von einem in den 60ern populären Klassiker, dem Whiskey Sour. Was man dafür braucht: etwas guten Bourbon (= ein klassisches weißes Shirt), Zitronensaft (= eine gelbe Hose), ein Spritzer Sirup (= eine süße Handtasche) und Eiswürfel (= eine coole Sonnenbrille). Mixen und genießen!  Was ist euer Lieblingsjahrzehnt in Sachen Mode und Styling und was ist euer Lieblingsgetränk?

Go Green!

EN Oh my, it's already May! But still it doesn't really feel like spring (at least here in the south of Germany... Can't believe I'm really living in Germany's sunshine-capital). It's cold and grey and rainy with only the green of the tress brightening up the scenery. So I guess my outfit matches the weather quite perfectly: muted colors with a pop of bright green. And although I really like this combination, I can't wait for spring to finally arrive, welcoming it with colorful outfits matching the blue skies, yellow rays of the sun, orange flowers, pink raspberry icecream,... :-)

DE Meine Güte, es ist ja schon Mai! Und immer noch keine Spur von Frühling (zumindest nicht hier in Süddeutschland... Unglaublich, dass ich wirklich in Deutschlands Sonnenhauptstadt lebe). Es ist kalt und grau und regnerisch und nur das Grün der Bäume verschönert das Gesamtbild ein bisschen. Mein Outfit passt also perfekt zum Wetter: Gedeckte Farben mit einem leuchtend grünen Farbklecks. Und obwohl ich diese Kombi ganz gerne mag, kann ich den Frühling kaum erwarten und werde ihn mit farbenfrohen Outfits begrüßen, die zum blauen Himmel, den gelben Sonnenstrahlen, orangefarbenen Blumen, pinkem Himbeereis, etc. passen. :-)

Here comes Trouble

EN Whenever I put together an outfit, there's a certain inspiration behind it: It can be a decade, an advertisement campaign, a feeling, a person...or a song/music video, like today. For the past couple of days I've really been enjoying Taylor Swift's album, especially "I knew you were trouble". I absolutely love the song and the video. But since I don't look like Taylor at all (and I'm not feeling the role of the nice girl), I didn't think it would make any sense to recreate her outfit. Instead I decided to create a very feminine, rather classic (but still rock 'n roll) interpretation of the Troublemaker in the video (played by the absolutely gorgeous Reeve Carney <3). What do you think of it? Have you ever dated someone who was clearly trouble? Or are you - like me - trouble yourself and tend to fall for nice guys?

DE Wenn ich ein Outfit zusammenstelle, dann steckt immer eine bestimmte Insprationsquelle dahinter: Das kann ein Jahrzehnt sein, eine Werrbekampagne, ein Gefühl, eine Person...oder ein Lied/Musikvideo, so wie heute. Die letzten Tage habe ich mich sehr an Taylor Swifts Album erfreut, besonders an "I knew you were trouble". Ich liebe dieses Lied und das dazugehörige Video. Aber da ich kein bisschen wie Taylor Swift aussehe (und ich mich in der Rolle des netten Mädchens auch nicht so passend empfinde), machte es für mich keinen Sinn ihr Outfit nachzustylen. Stattdessen habe ich mich für eine sehr feminine, eher klassische (aber trotzdem Rock 'n Roll) Interpretation des Troublemakers im Video (der übrigens vom absolut hinreißenden Reeve Carney gespielt wird <3) entschieden. Wie findet ihr es? Habt ihr schon einmal jemanden gedated, der offensichtlich Ärger bedeutet hat? Oder seid ihr - wie ich - selber Trouble und verknallt euch eher in die netten Jungs?

EN Do you know those days when you plan on going out and think: "Mmmmhhhh, since I'm already dressed up, I could shoot an outfit of the day." So you leave the house in your nice dress and shoes and as you step outside you realize: It's like minus 600 degrees out here! That's exactly what happened to me today, so I decided to make it a quick one: Just take a couple of pictures and then change into something warm and cozy. Has it ever happened to you that you REALLY wanted to take pictures, but the weather got in your way? Or are you all fashion bloggers from the north pole who don't give a shit about the weather and take bikini photos in the snow?

DE Kennt ihr diese Tage an denen man sowieso ausgeht und sich denkt: "Mmmmhhhh, da ich ja schon zurecht gemacht bin, konnte ich ja auch ein Outfit of the Day fotografieren." Also geht man im hübschen Kleid und mit hübschen Schühchen raus und sobald man das Haus verlassen hat, merkt man: Es sind ungefähr minus 600 Grad hier draußen! Genau das ist mir heute passiert, also habe ich mich für eine schnelle Nummer entschieden: Schnell ein paar Fotos machen und dann etwas warmes und kuscheliges anziehen. Ist es euch jemals passiert, dass ihr wirklich gerne Fotos machen wolltet, aber das Wetter kam dazwischen? Oder seid ihr alle Fashionblogger vom Nordpol, die auf das Wetter scheißen und im Schnee Bikinifotos machen?

Easter Egg

EN Happy Easter! I know, this is mainly a fashion blog, but look, what the Easter bunny brought me: A super cute, pink Easter egg! This one's not for eating, though, but for applying make-up. I'm sure you have all heard about the Beautyblender - this is the German drugstore dupe. I tried the egg today and so far I'm impressed, you will definitely see the result in one of my next outfit post. What is your favorite tool for applying make-up? Do you even use make-up or am I surrounded by natural beauties? :-)

DE Frohe Ostern! Ich weiß, das hier ist hauptsächlich ein Fashionblog, aber schaut mal, was mir der Osterhase gebracht hat: ein super süßes, pinkes Osterei. Es ist allerdings nicht zum Verspeisen, sondern zum Auftragen von Make-Up. Ihr habt sicher schon alle vom Beautyblender gehört - hier haben wir das Dupe aus der Drogerie. Ich habe das Ei heute gleich mal ausprobiert und bin bisher beeindruckt, das Ergebnis kriegt ihr ganz sicher in einem meiner nächsten Outfit Posts zu sehen. Womit tragt ihr am liebsten Make-Up auf? Benutzt ihr überhaupt Make-Up oder bin ich von Naturschönheiten umgeben? :-)

 EN It's been 26 days since my last post and guess what? I don't give a fuck. It's not that I don't like/love taking pictures and blogging and stuff but sometimes life gets in the way. So me and my blog decided to keep things casual - no obligations, no hurt feelings, just fun. My blog can survive without me for weeks but it's also happy for every word I write and every picture I post, even if I wear a weird outfit, have no make-up on and just feel like hiding in the woods - like today! Actually I think during my 2 hour stay in the woods I turned into a mystical creature scientist and the fashion industry have been speculating about for decades: the Black Forest Mountain Hipster!

DE Seit meinem letzten Post sind 26 Tage vergangen und wisst Ihr was? Das ist mir scheißegal. Nicht, dass ich das Fotos machen und Bloggen nicht mag/liebe, aber manchmal kommt einem das Leben einfach dazwischen.Also haben mein Blog und ich beschlossen, die Dinge locker anzugehen - keine Verpflichtungen, keine verletzten Gefühle, nur Spaß. Mein Blog kann wochenlang ohne mich überleben, freut sich aber auch über jedes Wort, das ich schreibe, und jedes Bild, das ich poste, selbst wenn ich darauf ein seltsames Outfit und kein Make-Up trage und mich am liebsten in den Wäldern verkriechen würde - so wie heute. Ich glaube bei meinem zweistündigen Aufenthalt im Wald habe ich mich in eine mystische Kreatur verwandelt, über die Forscher und die Modeindustrie seit Jahrzehnten Vermutungen anstellen: den Schwarzwälder Berghipster!

Spring Jeans

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen!

EN Seems like spring has finally arrived. I have to admit, I've never been a big fan of this season in particular - I'm more of a "summer girl" - but this year the winter months just seemed endless. Today for the first time in weeks I woke up with sunshine in my hair and on my skin and blue skies within reach. Perfect for taking a walk around my hometown, taking pictures and capturing this very special ambiance of new beginnings. How did you spend the day?

DE Sieht aus, als wäre der Frühling endlich da. Zugegeben, ich war nie ein großer Fan dieser Jahreszeit - ich bin eher ein "Sommermädchen - aber dieses Jahr schienen die Wintermonate kein Ende zu nehmen. Heute bin ich zum ersten Mal seit Wochen aufgewacht mit Sonnenschein in den Haaren und auf der Haut und dem blauen Himmel in Reichweite. Perfekt, um einen Spaziergang durch meine Heimatstadt zu machen, zu fotografieren und dieses ganz spezielle Ambiente neuer Anfänge einzufangen. Wie habt Ihr den Tag verbracht?
